The Blackline Standard
Our trainings are designed for officials who are serious about improving their craft. Through structured instruction, on-court experience and direct feedback, we provide an environment focused on growth, preparation, and confidence in every aspect of officiating.
Upcoming Sessions
We’ve been where you are and where you want to go. We’ve had the highs and the lows and are still standing strong to share our experience and help others along the way.
On court accomplishments aside, our passion lies in bringing discipline and true development back to officiating. It doesn’t take much to get hired onto a collegiate staff once or make a single good impression on an assignor. Real success comes from longevity—the ability to be a reliable, sought-after official year after year.
Assignors need to know that whenever they put you on the floor, the game is taken care of. The game assignments, college contracts, and accolades will follow when you are truly prepared. We make sure you are ready for the moment the opportunity knocks.
Why Train With Us
We meet you where you are and stay with you as long as you want to grow. This isn’t a one-time engagement; it’s a community where you are supported and encouraged. The Blackline Standard is high—but you wouldn’t want it any other way.
Don’t just wait for the opportunity. Be prepared for it.

Mastering the Craft
Our Philosophy: Excellence is the Expectation
At Blackline Precision, we believe that elite officiating isn’t an overnight achievement; it’s the result of a disciplined commitment to the fundamentals. There are no shortcuts to the top. Our training is designed for the official who understands that mastering the basics is the only foundation for a career that lasts.
Whether you are working a youth showcase or an NCAA Division I game, the standard remains the same. We focus on the "unseen work" that separates the good from the great.
Mastering the Fundamentals
Before you can master the game, you must master yourself. We emphasize the main pillars of officiating:
Play Calling: At the end of the day, an official’s job is to get plays right. Through repetition, on-court training, real-time feedback, and video breakdown, we help our officials improve their judgment and consistency. We value officials who help the game "make sense" through the proper use of their whistle.
Rules Knowledge: A deep understanding of the rulebook and the intent behind the rules can elevate an official from being unnoticeable to being highly desired. Studying and implementing the rules is a non-negotiable requirement for our roster.
Mechanics: Mechanics are the "why" behind our whistles, our court positioning, and our decisions. Without sound mechanics, you have nothing. We ensure our officials are in the right place to make the right call, every time.
Professional Presentation (On and Off the Floor)
Your performance starts the moment you walk into the facility. We train our officials to represent themselves and our partners with the highest level of professionalism.
The Look: From the crispness of your uniform to your physical presence on the sideline, we prioritize a professional image that commands immediate respect and instills credibility with coaches, players, and fans.
Communication: Whether you have been officiating for two years or twenty, there is always room to improve your communication. Being an effective communicator will extend your career far further than your physical ability ever could.
Reliability as a Brand: Being on time is late. We instill a culture of punctuality and preparedness that makes our officials the most trusted on the circuit.
Respecting the Process
Growth is a marathon, not a sprint. We don’t skip steps at Blackline Precision. We provide a structured environment where development is documented and feedback is constant.
Film & Tech Integration: We utilize modern tools not just to look at plays, but to analyze movement, angles, and body language.
Active Feedback Loops: Our developmental camps provide a safe yet challenging space to receive honest, NCAA level critiques.
The Long View: We help our roster build a "Career Blueprint," ensuring they are mentally and physically ready for the next level before they get there. Whatever your aspirations, we help set the groundwork to achieve and surpass your goals.
