    Calling all ladies! This is a training camp designed exclusively for women, open to all experience levels. Through both classroom and on-court instruction, we’ll cover mechanics, communication, and strategies for navigating the officiating business as a woman. Build confidence, connect with peers, and gain insights to excel both on and off the court.

    Ongoing enrollment starting Spring 2027

    Perfect for brand-new officials looking to join the Blackline community. Registration includes a T-shirt and your first-year assigning fee, giving you a jumpstart into organized basketball officiating. Learn the basics, connect with mentors, and begin your officiating journey with support from the start. Combination of classroom/virtual training and on court opportunities.

  • Contract to Tip Off

    September-October 2026

    A 3–4 week classroom-focused series designed for officials new to the college ranks. We break down rules, mechanics, and off-court challenges while fostering a supportive community. Start building the knowledge, habits, and connections that will set you up for success for the upcoming season.

  • Rookie to Roster

    Upcoming April-May 2027

    It’s almost time for camp season and we want to get you right. Prepare for higher-level camps with this multi-session training tailored to various experience levels. We focus on refining play calling, court presence, and mechanics so you stand out in competitive camp settings. Gain the skills and confidence needed to elevate your officiating to the next level.

    Designed for officials with 0-3 years of college experience. Multiple sessions for women’s and men’s college track focus.

Mastering the Craft

Our Philosophy: Excellence is the Expectation

At Blackline Precision, we believe that elite officiating isn’t an overnight achievement; it’s the result of a disciplined commitment to the fundamentals. There are no shortcuts to the top. Our training is designed for the official who understands that mastering the basics is the only foundation for a career that lasts.

Whether you are working a youth showcase or an NCAA Division I game, the standard remains the same. We focus on the "unseen work" that separates the good from the great.

Mastering the Fundamentals

Before you can master the game, you must master yourself. We emphasize the main pillars of officiating:

  • Play Calling: At the end of the day, an official’s job is to get plays right. Through repetition, on-court training, real-time feedback, and video breakdown, we help our officials improve their judgment and consistency. We value officials who help the game "make sense" through the proper use of their whistle.

  • Rules Knowledge: A deep understanding of the rulebook and the intent behind the rules can elevate an official from being unnoticeable to being highly desired. Studying and implementing the rules is a non-negotiable requirement for our roster.

  • Mechanics: Mechanics are the "why" behind our whistles, our court positioning, and our decisions. Without sound mechanics, you have nothing. We ensure our officials are in the right place to make the right call, every time.

Your performance starts the moment you walk into the facility. We train our officials to represent themselves and our partners with the highest level of professionalism.
